Buy a buffalo!

Following on from the successful sponsorship scheme we are now giving friends the opportunity of donating a water buffalo to the GCH.

Click here to find out more about this new scheme to bolster the orphanage's livestock assets and raise awareness of our ongoing work at N.G.Palem in the South Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.

1st water buffalo already provided

The first water buffalo to be provided for the Grace Children Home is being arranged under the auspices of the buy-a-buffalo scheme. Thanks to the members of one church in the UK, a female buffalo, curiously to be named Trevor (!) will shortly be providing milk for the children at the home.

Further details are available via the Calendar page on this website or the aforementioned link above. Briefly though :

  • Buy-a-buffalo scheme open to individuals, groups and organisations
  • One-off cash donation purchases one animal for the home
  • You get to name the animal which then has the name applied in eco and animal-friendly paint! (photo provided)
  • Prices vary between £200 - £300. Contact the Chairman for further details.
  • As well as providing for the GCH, excess output can be sold to the local equivalent of the milk marketing board, thus providing further vital funds for the work of the home.
