Grants

In addition to a great many private donations, the Grace Third World Fund occasionally receives substantial grants from NGOs and governmental bodies in order to complete specific projects or further a particular aspect of our ministry.

Here GTWF Chairman Rev Else is seen with GCH resident Stephenson in Dec 2005.

As the plaque indicates, the 1st floor of the main GCH building was part financed by a grant from the Isle of Man Government Overseas Aid Committee.

In addition to the IOM Govt grant (see above right), GTWF more recently benefitted from a large disbursement from the Blythswood Care organisation. This was to help with tsunami relief work in Kakinada. These funds have made a real difference to our aid programme in the fishing village but we're now looking for new monies for that ministry to continue.

Any grants available in your area?

Maybe you know of a local government or philanthropic organisation which makes grants to charities in your area. If you do, GTWF can help to make a case for an application to grant. Bear the following in mind:

  • Grace Third World Fund is registered as a charity in the Isle of Man - Manx reg no. 727
  • We can provide special information packs with exhaustive details of our work to date and future projects
  • GTWF periodically carries out presentations on the UK mainland and can meet potential grant bodies.
  • GTWF has been working in India for nearly 10 years, has minuted AGMs and annual financial reports.
