Fund-raising activities in UK and Isle of Man

Grace Third World Fund has a long and illustrious history of fundraising events. The precedent for these was a rather hard act to follow. With the added organisation of Mr Adrian Tickle, then of Manx Airlines, a "Jet Pull" was carried out raising in the region of £6,000! See the fundraising history download below for more details.

Recent and forthcoming fundraisers

There have been so many events over the years that we have decided to put together a chronological record of them. Click here to download the full archive in PDF format. Click here for FREE Adobe Reader to open the file.

On this page though is a taster of what's been happening in 2007 and what is shortly to come. When we hold an event we often ...

  • Match a specific occasion to a specific project so supporters will see a tangible benefit from funds raised
  • advertise via local radio interviews and community columns in the Isle of Man Newspapers so watch out for us!
  • organise a varied schedule of events so that we reach different groups of people with different interests. If you feel that there is an opportunity to broaden our appeal, why not contact Ray via the Secretary on our fundraising committee.

Gaiety Theatre, Douglas, IOM

Following the Gaiety's recent production of Thoroughly Modern Millie, which was enjoyed by members of the Grace Third World Fund, we were kindly invited to collect for the charity after one of the evening performances.

The generosity of the local theatre-going public extended to a sum in excess of £300 being raised for GTWF in about a 10 minute period!.
