Charity Quiz Night - St John's, Isle of Man

Tynwald Hill InnGTWF has held a number of charity quiz nights at local venues in the Isle of Man over the years.

These have brought in badly needed funds for a variety of development projects in India.

Awareness has also been raised by the integral presentation and media coverage the events generate.

Quizzes have been held at the Mannin Hotel in Douglas, Glen Helen Lodge and Tywnald Hill Inn in St John's. Some local businesses like AFD Software in Ramsey have even supported our quiz nights to the extent of needing a separate occasion arranged just for their own staff!

We are indebted to the time and effort spent by our now departed chairman Rev Else and Ray Richardson, in putting these functions together over several years.

Details of the recent quiz night

As usual our GTWF head fundraiser Ray Richardson and now departed Chairman Rev Else were the quizmasters and there was a variety of rounds ranging from General Knowledge to music, sport and religion.

  • Venue was Tynward Hill Inn at St John's, Isle of Man - Thu 17 May 2007 - 7:15pm for 7:45 prompt start
  • Teams were mostly of 4 persons. Buffet meal and entry to free prize draw was included in ticket price.
