Become a sponsor

By the time you get to this section of our web site you may have seen a number of references to our sponsors and the sponsorship scheme in general. It is true to say that these funds we receive through on an ongoing basis are the bread and butter of our day to day income.

A number of years ago we had the orphanage (now the Grace Children Home) completed and finally ready to receive children. However we needed a reliable steady source of income matched to the number of actual children present at any one point in time. Thanks to the sponsorship scheme we can ensure our long term commitment to our orphans in the home.

Official opening of GCH

If you are already a sponsor please click here. If not then please read on.

At the present time we have over 85 children in the GCH.

Their upkeep is made possible by people like you paying a standing order of £20 per month to GTWF.

This sum covers not only the basics of food and clothing for each child, but their other expenses which vary according to the needs of the individual.

Educational materials, physiotherapy and the wages of the home's key support workers are also covered.

Child Sponsorship Scheme

We currently have many sponsors whom have supported invdiviual children for years and some have even had the pleasure of seeing their sponsored grow up, leave the home and enter further education, enabling their sponsorship to be passed onto a new arrival at the home.

If you are interested in sponsoring one or more children at the GCH, bear in mind the following:

  • Sponsorship costs just £20 (twenty pounds sterling) per calendar month.
  • For the equivalent of half a tank of petrol in the UK, or an evening out at a decent restaurant, a child can be fully supported by GTWF.
  • Sponsored children in the home are often elevated from very deprived or vulnerable situations and so the difference which it makes to their lives can be even more dramatic than for a child in the UK. You really are helping to set them on a different course for opportunities that would otherwise never come their way.
